Lots of people use social networking sites to socialise with friends and family all around the world so that they don't loose contact. this means that social networking sites are a positive in someways because they help you too speak to people around the world otherwise you might not be able to speak or see them otherwise. It could also be a negative because some people decide to use these for bad things so that they can make profits and also to make advantages of people. it also affects you because some people spend a lot of time on the comoputer and social websites like twitter, habbo, facebook, msn etc. this means that people don't have a social life off the comoputer, Meaning that they don't talk to many people off the social network sites and they only speak to their family and sometimes not even that!! they also become addicted to the computer and the games and websites on there and they don't do well in anything else because they'v never really tried it. although this is a bit extreme it can happen!
How do we use ICT for entertainment?
we mainly use ICT (entertainment) for games. there are thousands of games around that are great, e.g- worlds hardest game
- car frenzy
- sims taxi 3
- sims taxi
- bejeweled blitz
- farm town
- yoville
there are many to choose from and many that do not hold viruses. most of these games are on websites full of many catogories, you have to be patient and sort through a few games before you can find one that you really enjoy and that you can play over and over again without getting tired. we also use it for other things such as:
- you tube
- blogs
- social networking (and many more)
they all hold some sort of entertainment for all different people, you just have to be willing to sort though the websities on google, ask, bing etc, to get to the type of thing that you like!!
